Driving the splitting-mechanism is a beefy 2200w electric motor. It produces the power-levels equivalent to a 2hp petrol engine, but which requires zero maintenance and produces no nasty fumes.
It’s fitted with a pair of sizeable 150mm wheels that ensure straightforward around-the-garden transport; and it benefits from a lengthy 3.3m power-cord that provides plenty of unrestricted movement. This model accepts logs up to 25cm in girth; and up to 37cm in length. This electric log saw makes fast cuts even when working with tough hardwoods and can handle a continuous workload of logs up to 135mm in diameter. The deep-channeled cutting tray on the log saw bench holds logs securely and provides support for log lengths up to 2 meters. Making cuts is a simple push/pull operation.
