Makita JV101D is a 10.8V Compact Extreme Technology (CXT) slide Li-ion battery powered cordless jigsaw. The’ CXT’ range of 10.8v tools from Makita features a slide battery, similar to the extremely successful 18v Li-Ion battery used in the heavier range of tools.
The Makita JV101DZ comes as a single unit tool and has no batteries, charger or case, making it the perfect way to build an existing Makita 10.8v kit. There are separate batteries and chargers available. Professional orbital action jigsaws, also known as pendulum action jigsaws, are ideal for long straight cuts in wood. Jigsaws can cut through steel, drywall, and fiberglass with ease as long as you use the correct blade for the job. Jigsaws are fairly unique because of the way they can make plunge cuts.
