Makita LW1400 240V Chop Saw Abrasive Portable Cut Off Saw
Makita LW1400 is a 355mm (14″) Portable Cut-off Saw and the successor to the 2414EN. This portable cut off saw features a quick-release vice, a large spark guard with a pin locking device and a Carry handle for easy transport. Featuring an abrasive wheel replacement toolless, and adjustment of the guide plate. Transport around the worksite is relatively easy. The 15 AMP motor produces 3,800 RPM for the most demanding applications of metal cutting.
With a locking pin, the LW1400 weighs just 37.9 pounds which secures the cutting head down for quick transport and storage. Additional features include a large ergonomic handle and a power button with a 2-stage lockout.
Makita LW1400 240V saws often feature a protractor fence and a straight fence. These allow the user to cut straight angles for applications such as door molding. Although abrasive cut–off saws are more commonly used to cut metal or PVC, they can be configured to cut wood with a few simple adjustments.
